Fu Bojie

Fu Bojie is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a fellow of the World Academy of Sciences, and a corresponding fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, UK. He is now a researcher at the Research Center for Eco-Environment of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the director of its Academic Council. He is also director of the Department of Earth Sciences of the National Natural Science Foundation and director of the Division of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is vice-president of the International Association of Ecology, and vice-president of the International Long-term Ecological Research and president of the Geographical Society of China. He is mainly engaged in landscape ecology and physical geography research, and has made systematic and innovative achievements in land utilization structure, ecological processes, landscape ecology and ecosystem services. He has published 10 monographs and over 400 academic papers of which more than 190 are included in SCI journals such as Science and Nature Geoscience. He has won the second prize of the National Natural Science Award, the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and the Outstanding Contribution Award of the International Association for Landscape Ecology. He is the editor-in-chief of Chinese Geographical Science, and a member of the editorial board of Landscape Ecology, Landscape and Urban Planning, and Current Opinions in Environmental Sustainability.
