Zhu Shiping
Zhu Shiping is an academician of Canadian Academy of Engineering, the Academy of Science of the Royal Society of Canada and the World Academy of Sciences.He is also vice president of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) and president of the Shenzhen Institute for Advanced Polymer Materials at CUHK. Zhu graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering of Zhejiang University in 1982 and received a doctor's degree from McMaster University in Canada in 1991; He worked as a faculty member at the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Department of Materials of McMaster University in 1994was selected as a "Canadian Chair Professor of Scientific Research" in 2001. From 2009 to 2014, he served as the director of the Department of Chemical Engineering of McMaster University.
In 2014, he was elected as an academician of Canadian Academy of Engineering; In 2017, he became vice president of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), and president of the university's Shenzhen Institute for Advanced Polymer Materials; In 2020, he was elected as an academician of the World Academy of Sciences.
Zhu has long been committed to the research of polymer material engineering science.
