Zhang Wenhong

Zhang Wenhong has long been engaged in clinic research of infectious diseases and liver diseases. He is a chief physician, doctoral supervisor and research fellow of the Institutes of Biomedical Sciences of Fudan University.

Zhang is currently the director of the National Center for Infectious Diseases, director of the infectious disease department of Huashan Hospital, Fudan University, director of the department of internal medicine of Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University, leader of the Shanghai COVID-19 medical treatment expert group, and director of the Shanghai key laboratory of infectious diseases and biosafety emergency response.

Zhang was supported by the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University and successively elected as an excellent academic leader of Shanghai and Shanghai advanced worker. He has been named an advanced person in the fight against COVID-19 and a Chinese city figure and has received a number of honorary titles. In August 2021, the written documentary Doctor Zhang Wenhong was published.
