Yang Xiaoming

Yang is currently the president and secretary of the CPC Committee of China National Biotec Group, the biotech subsidiary of Sinopharm Group, and the chief scientist of the vaccine project, which is part of the national plan known as "Project 863".

Yang, also a researcher with a master degree of medicine, won the honorary title of "Winner of the Second National Innovation Competition Award in May, 2020. In September, 2020, he was honored as a national outstanding CPC member and a national advanced individual in combating COVID-19. In December 2020, he was awarded the title of Model of Central State-owned Enterprises by the CPC Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.
