ANSO-BIDI School holds 2023 opening ceremony
The ANSO-BIDI School held its sixth term's opening ceremony, a special activity of the Greater Bay Area Science Forum (GSF), that focuses on innovation, sustainable development and leadership enhancement on Mar 23.
Nearly 130 well-known scholars attended the online event. Experts and representatives from Canada, Brazil, Turkey, Mongolia, Argentina, Italy, Pakistan, Armenia shared their brilliant views and insights.
Presided over by Wu Desheng, dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and director of the Center for Environmental Economics at UCAS, and an academician of the European Academy of Sciences and the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, the opening ceremony attracted domestic and foreign experts, including Nie Xiaowei, assistant executive director of the ANSO Secretariat and executive secretary-general of the Greater Bay Area Science Forum; Xie Yong, head of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office at UCAS; Luiz Davidovich, president of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences; Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, executive director and ambassador of the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South Pakistan (COMSATS).
Nie said that ANSO has played an important role in promoting a scientific community with a shared future for mankind, attracting high-end talents from all over the world.

Representatives from the Organizing Committee of the GSF said that the Greater Bay Area Science Forum 2023, with the theme "Bring together wisdom, Bring together the world", will be held in May 2023. The forum will build a high-level exchange platform for global scientific cooperation, and boost development of the technology innovation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as the Belt and Road Initiative.
