Zhang Liqun

Zhang Liqun, academician of the CAE member, He is also the former vice president and director of the Academic Committee of Beijing University of Chemical Technology. Zhang is currently the president of South China University of Technology and holds positions such as vice chairman of the 41st Council of the Chinese Chemical Society and executive director of the Chinese Society for Materials Research. 

Professor Zhang's research focuses on rubber material science and engineering, polymer nanocomposites, bio-based polymer materials, and polymer processing engineering. He has received the second prize in the National Technology Invention Award twice and the second prize in the National Science and Technology Progress Award. He has also won five international awards including Sparks Thomas Science and Technology Award of Rubber Branch of American Chemical Society.
