Yu Shuhong
Yu Shuhong, chair professor of Southern University of Science and Technology, outstanding chair professor of the University of Science and Technology of China, the director of the Nanomaterials and Chemistry Research Department of the National Research Center for Microscale Materials Science in Hefei, dean of the Innovative Materials Research Institute of Southern University of Science and Technology, and director of the Joint Research Center for New Materials at China University of Science and Technology - Southern University of Science and Technology.
Professor Yu is engaged in research on biomimetic synthesis, assembly, and functionalization of inorganic and composite materials for a long time. He is currently an academician of the CAS, winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and a distinguished professor of the Ministry of Education. He has published over 550 papers at Science, Nat. Mater, Nat. Nanotech. and other international journals with over 71600 citations, and has been selected in the H-factor Global High Cited Scientists List from 2014 to 2022.
He won the second prize of the National Natural Science Award twice as the first person to complete the work, the Outstanding Scientific and Technological Achievement Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Second National Innovation Medal, and the Major Scientific and Technological Achievement Award of Anhui Province. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Mater Chem, and also a consultant, executive, or editorial board member for more than 20 international publications, such as Acc. Chem Res., Adv. Mater., Nano Lett., Matter, Trends in Chemistry.
