Zhang Linxiu

Zhang Linxiu is the director of the International Ecosystem Management Partnership under the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP- IEMP). She is also a member of the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and head of the flagship program "Climate, Ecosystems and Livelihoods" (CEL) at the UNEP.

Prior to joining the United Nations, she had long been engaged in research on agricultural and rural development, particularly in scientific empirical research and impact assessments on rural public investment strategies and efficiency, labor market development, poverty, the environment, and education.

Zhang is also entitled to the Special Allowance of the State Council of China.

Excellent Young Scientists Fund from National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC);

Ten Most Outstanding Women in Science award from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
