Zhang Yue
Professor Zhang Yue is currently the director of the State Key Laboratory of New Metal Materials and the Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Science and Technology at Beijing University of Science and Technology. He is committed to integrating cutting-edge research on low-dimensional semiconductor materials with major national needs. Professor Zhang's research focuses on low-dimensional semiconductor materials and their service behavior.
He has presided over and undertaken over 60 projects, including the National Major Scientific Research Program, National Key R&D Program, National Natural Science Foundation Major & Key Projects, National Major Scientific Research Instrument Development Projects, Major International Cooperation and Exchange Projects between the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Natural Science Foundation, the Higher Education Discipline Innovation and Introduction Plan of the Ministry of Education and the State Administration for Foreign Experts Affairs, provincial and ministerial-level projects, and national defense and military industry projects.
Professor Zhang has published over 450 SCI papers in domestic and foreign journals such as Nature, Nature Materials, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Energy, and Nature Electronics. He has written and published eight Chinese monographs and five English monographs, and has authorized over 100 items. He has also received one second prize in the National Natural Science Award, three first prizes in Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Achievements Award, and two first prizes in Provincial and Ministerial Teaching Achievements Award as the first author.
He is currently the executive deputy director of the National Defense Department and deputy director of the Materials Department of the Science and Technology Commission of the Ministry of Education. Professor Zhang has served as the chairman of the Chinese Society of Stereology and the executive chairman of the Chinese Society of Metals. He has also served as the founding editor of National Science Open, deputy editor-in-chief of Fundamental Research, editor-in-chief of Nanoscale and Nanoscale Advances, and editorial board member of more than 10 international journals, including Science Bulletin.
In 2015, Professor Zhang was elected a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, in 2019 he was elected an academician of the CAS, and in 2022 he was elected an academician of The World Academy of Sciences.
