Zhang Fan

Zhang Fan is a researcher at the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research (ITP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), where she focuses on water and sediment dynamics and water environment research in the Tibetan Plateau region.

She has led such projects as the Excellent Young Scientists Fund from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and participated as a core member in the second Chinese scientific expedition to the Tibetan Plateau for the key task of "dynamic changes of the Asian Water Tower."

She also serves as co-editor-in-chief for the Journal of Hydrology: Regional Studies.

Zhang is the winner of the 18th Chinese Young Women in Science Award.

She has authored one English monograph and published over 100 papers, including more than 10 Chinese core journal papers and over 100 SCI papers.
