Olivier Guise

Having spent most of his professional career with SABIC, Olivier is currently Director of SABIC Technology & Innovation, APAC and based in SABIC Technology Center – Shanghai, China. He also leads the company's global analytical science department.

A native of France, Olivier joined SABIC, New York, in 2006 and has since held roles of increasing importance and across various continents including America, Europe and most recently Asia. A veteran and dedicated technology expert, Olivier boasts nearly two decades of experience in value creation and differentiated solution development in the field of petrochemicals and materials. Prior to SABIC, Olivier has worked with General Electric.

Olivier earned his PhD from the University of Pittsburgh, USA, for his research on the production and characterization of novel nanostructure materials via 4-point probe conductivity measurements. Previously, he graduated from the Chemistry and Physics Institute in 1999 in Lyon, France, with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.

Olivier is the author/co-author of more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and conference proceedings as well as multiple patents. A native speaker of French, he also masters English and speaks Dutch.
