Wang Xiaoyu

Wang Xiaoyu is an IEEE fellow, co-founder of Intellifusion Technologies, and executive director of the Guangdong Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Society. He is a national leading talent, and former chairman of international such conferences as CVPR and NeurIPS. He has received awards including first prize of the Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Progress Award and first prize of the China Institute of Electronics Science and Technology Progress Award.

In 2015, he participated in the establishment of Snap Research and served as the chairman of computer vision. He led the development of AI on both the Snap mobile platform and cloud platform, and released the world's first large-scale mobile object recognition application based on deep learning technology, which is aimed at 500 million users.

Starting in 2012, he worked at NEC Laboratories America and led a team that achieved second place in the global ImageNet competition in 2013 and first place in the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology Face Recognition Vendor Test.
