Zhuo Yehong
Zhuo Yehong is vice-dean of the Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Sun Yat-sen University, and a distinguished professor of the Zhujiang Scholar Program. He is also vice-chairman of the Ophthalmology Branch of the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine, deputy leader of the National Myopia Prevention and Control Expert Promotion Group of the Ministry of Education, chairman of the Expert Guidance Committee for Myopia Prevention and Control in Guangdong Province, and a national member of the Ophthalmology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association.
He has published more than 150 papers, including over 60 SCI-indexed papers in top international journals such as Biomaterials, Proc Natl Acad Sci USA, and Cell Death Differ. He has presided over 1 key R&D project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, 7 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and more than 10 provincial and ministerial-level projects. He received first prize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked top) in 2018 and second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked second) in 2010. He has also been awarded the Ding Ying Science and Technology Award.
