Zhang Ye

Zhang Ye is the team leader and researcher of the Intelligent Soft Matter Materials team at Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory (SLAB). Before joining SLAB in 2022, she served as an associate professor and an independent principal investigator at a private university in Japan.

Zhang is dedicated to innovative research in biomaterials. She led her team to pioneer the design of nanomedicines targeting cell membrane rafts and successfully applied biotechnology in mechanobiology drug development through the design of membrane protein-targeting peptides. Her research achievements have been published in prestigious journals such as Nature Commun. and Chem, with over 40 articles. As the project leader, she has received funding totaling over 100 million yen from the industry and JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) in Japan.
