Liu Jianglai
Liu Jianglai is a distinguished professor at the School of Physics and Astronomy and the Tsung-Dao Lee Institute (TDLI) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). He obtained his bachelor's degree from Nanjing University in 1998 and a doctorate at the University of Maryland in 2006. He held a postdoctoral and then a senior postdoctoral scholar position at Caltech from 2006 to 2010.
He joined SJTU in 2010. He was awarded the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2015, as well as the "Wang Ganchang Prize" of the Chinese Physical Society and the Tencent "XPlorer Prize". In 2020, he was selected as an "Advanced Worker of Shanghai".
Liu has been actively involved in cutting-edge research in the fields of dark matter and neutrino experiments. He currently serves as the chief scientist of the PandaX experiment.
