Song Hefa

Song Hefa is a researcher at the Institute of Science and Development of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, vice-dean of the School of Intellectual Property at the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and head of the Intellectual Property Research and Training Center at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is also the executive deputy director of the Intellectual Property Policy Committee of the China Association for Science of Science and S&T Policy and the secretary-general of the China Hi-tech Industry Promotion Society. Song serves as a member of the editorial board for Intellectual Property magazine. His main research areas include intellectual property and innovation policies.

Song has actively participated in numerous important preliminary policy research projects. He has also contributed to the revision and consultation of laws and regulations, such as the Promotion of Technology Transfer Law, Patent Law, and Law on Progress of Science and Technology. Song has led the completion of the five-year evaluation of the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20) for national intellectual property protection and utilization. He has published five monographs and many academic papers on core journals.
