Liu Xiwen

Liu Xiwen is the director of the National Science Library of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is a researcher, a distinguished professor and a doctoral supervisor at the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. 

He serves as an executive member of the China Society for Scientific and Technical Information, and a member of the China Association for Science of Science and S&T Policy. He is the editor-in-chief of Think Tank: Theory & Practice and Science Focus. 

Liu has long been engaged in research on science and technology policy and strategic intelligence, scientometrics, information policy, competitive intelligence, technology competitive intelligence, regional innovation, and library services. He has completed several national-level science and technology policy and strategic research projects and topics, and has published six monographs and translations, as well as more than 80 research papers.
