Sun Xueliang
Sun Xueliang, an expert in energy materials, is a distinguished professor at Western University in Canada. He is a national chief scientist of Canada, fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, and foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
Sun's research focuses on the development and application of lithium-ion batteries, solid-state batteries, and fuel cells. He has published over 620 SCI papers with more than 58,000 citations and an H-index of 123. He has edited four scientific books and authored 20 chapters in scientific works. Sun has delivered over 180 presentations at international conferences and forums. He actively collaborates with the industry, including Ballard Power Systems in Canada, General Motors in the United States, and the China Innovation Center for Power Battery.
He has received numerous awards, including the Materials Chemistry Research Achievement Award from the Chemical Institute of Canada, the Battery Technology Award from the International Battery Materials Association, the Highest Research Achievement Award and Distinguished Professor title from Western University in Canada. Currently, he serves as the vice-president of the International Academy of Advanced Electrochemical Energy Science (IOAEES) and is the editor-in-chief of Springer’s Electrochemical Energy Review (IF=32).
