Bao Xinhe
Bao Xinhe is an academician at the CAS and president of the University of Science and Technology of China. His main research focuses on surface science and catalytic chemistry related to energy-efficient conversion, as well as the development of new catalytic processes and catalysts.
He serves as a member of the International Association of Catalysis Societies and the vice chairman of the 28th and 29th Councils of the Chinese Chemical Society. From 2012 to 2017, he served as the director of the Catalysis Division of the Chinese Chemical Society. In 2017, he was awarded the Alwin Mittasch Prize 2017. The Nanocatalysis and Interfaces team led by him won the first National Innovation Pioneer Medal. He also received the 2018 Tan Kah Kee Science Award. Bao has been a deputy to the 9th, 10th, 12th, and 13th National People's Congress. He is currently a member of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress.
