Exploring collaboration: GSF secretariat visits University of Macau
A delegation from the secretariat of the Greater Bay Area Science Forum (GSF) visited the University of Macau on July 7. Song Yonghua, rector of UM, who is also the vice-chairman of the GSF's Strategic Advisory Committee, warmly welcomed the delegation and joined in fruitful discussions.

Participants in the symposium included Professor Chen Xin, director of the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences and the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine; Assistant Professors Zheng Huishan and Mao Xiaowen from the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences; Associate Professor Yang Dingqi from the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City; Assistant Professor Zhang Minglei from the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI; and Professor Wang Chunming from the Research Services and Knowledge Transfer Office.
During the meeting, the scientific research achievements of the three State key laboratories of UM and the industry-academia collaboration were highlighted. The secretariat of GSF also gave a report on forum branding and the transformation of sci-tech achievements.
The university looks forward to conducting comprehensive exchanges and cooperation with Greater Bay Area Science Forum. Song, rector of UM, mentioned that the two sides should further engage in practical cooperation, give better play to the characteristics of the GSF and showcase the scientific strength of the Bay Area to the international community.
The University of Macau will fully leverage its regional advantages of being rooted in Macao with a blend of Chinese and diverse cultures, and play a pivotal role as a significant support for building the Greater Bay Area. It aims to contribute to the construction of an international scientific and technological innovation center and an international education demonstration zone in the Greater Bay Area.
