Nie Xiaowei, executive secretary-general of the Greater Bay Area Science Forum, attended the forum and gave a report titled Reflections on Tibet's ecological Industry under the Framework of Carbon Neutrality: The Practice of An Integrated Ecological Observation System for Air, Space, and Ground.
Nie revealed in the report that the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau has received considerable attention from the country regarding its high-quality development.
Tibet is dedicated to becoming a national ecological civilization highland and aims to take the lead in ecological civilization construction. The air-space-ground integrated monitoring system holds broad application prospects in assisting the dynamic monitoring of glaciers, wetlands, glacial lakes and biodiversity on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, promoting eco-tourism, disaster prevention and reduction, and supporting major engineering tasks. The application is estimated to generate a market with a size of nearly 10 billion yuan.
