GSF, Wuqing district to collaborate on innovation, research
On Sept 16, Tian Yuan, assistant executive secretary-general of the Secretariat of the Greater Bay Area Science Forum, led a delegation to visit the people's government of Wuqing district in Tianjin, initiating discussions on regional collaborative innovation and industry-academia-research (IAR) cooperation.
During the dialogue, Tian outlined the status of the 2024 Greater Bay Area Science Forum and the current advancements that were spearheaded by the secretariat. He said he hopes to enhance bilateral communication and collaboration to foster high-quality development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
Highlighting the similarities between Wuqing district and Nansha district in the Greater Bay Area, District Head Xu Yingwu introduced Wuqing's developmental resources and future strategies. Xu advocated leveraging the Greater Bay Area Science Forum as a premium platform for reciprocal learning, emphasizing the accelerated development of IAR cooperation and technology transfer initiatives.
