Tech-innovation and intl collaboration highlighted at GSF sub forum
As the Greater Bay Area Science Forum (GSF) to be held from Nov 16 to 18, the sub-forum on International Organizations and Bay Areas Dialogue was held at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong on Nov 12.
The sub-forum was co-hosted by the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Alliance of National and International Science Organizations for Belt and Road Regions and focused on "scientific and technological innovation for synergistic development.”
Approximately 300 representatives from countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Chinese mainland, including scientists, entrepreneurs and students, attended the dialogue.
Addressing the event, Rocky S. Tuan, president of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, said that the forum provides a crucial opportunity for researchers and industry leaders to discuss and contemplate the future of the GBA and enhance the innovation and research ecosystem.
Bai Chunli, chairman of the GSF, expressed his confidence that the forum will nurture new partnerships in the new era and provide an effective platform for establishing connections between academia, industry and government.
Leaders and scholars from various fields delivered keynote speeches, presented specialized reports, and engaged in roundtable discussions at the forum on topics such as biomedicine, artificial intelligence, and green energy.
