Greater Bay Area Science Forum 2024 to highlight innovations in communication and AI
The 2024 Greater Bay Area Science Forum, hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, will take place from Nov 16 to 18, featuring thematic forums and events across the region. This landmark event will bring together industry leaders to discuss advancements in strategic and emerging technologies.
On Nov 17, the Information and Communication Sub-Forum will be held at the Nansha International Convention Center, focusing on next-generation communications, computational networks, data management, and artificial intelligence. Experts from around the globe will share insights into how these technologies are shaping industrial innovation and fueling high-quality economic growth.
Highlights of the forum include the announcement of the Greater Bay Area Innovation Research Institute and a series of major launches, including advancements in low-altitude flight technology, computational network innovations, and integrated security solutions based on MetaScene's AI model. Attendees will also witness the unveiling of China Unicom's OpenGateway network platform and satellite internet integration applications.
Concluding the sub-forum, a joint inauguration ceremony will bring together leading institutions such as Peng Cheng Laboratory and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), symbolizing a new phase in collaborative tech development and innovation across the Greater Bay Area.
