A delegation from the Secretariat of the Greater Bay Area Science Forum (GSF) led by Wang Xiang, director of the secretariat, paid a visit to the Secretariat of the Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO), a non-profit and non-governmental organization that sims to deepen cooperation among scientists and experts from the Belt and Road countries, on Feb 25.

Jia Bo and Zhang Shizhuan, deputy directors of the ANSO Secretariat, received the delegation.

The delegation of the GSF Secretariat shared the work plans for the 2025 GSF and expressed its desire to establish deeper cooperation with ANSO. It hopes to invite more representatives from countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative to visit the Guangdong -Hong Kong- Macao Greater Bay Area and encourage more sci-tech enterprises in the Greater Bay Area to go global.

Jia emphasized that the construction and operation of international organizations require long-term efforts. He hopes that in the future the two parties will begin working together to construct international organizations.

Zhang suggested that GSF improve its content in the 2025 forum by focusing on topics such as the World Bay Area Forum, the Maritime Silk Road, and the Innovation Hub.

The GSF Secretariat hopes to take the visit as an opportunity to continue strengthening communication and exchanges with ANSO, as well as enhance cooperation in areas such as annual conferences, day-to-day collaboration, and international scientific exchanges.
