Qingsheng Hub Cluster paves way for smart and sustainable future
The Qingsheng Hub Cluster, one of three pioneering areas in Nansha, has rapidly evolved into a vital hub for science and innovation in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, fostering close cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. It aims to be an area of the future, characterized by livability, intelligence, greenery, culture, resilience, and innovation.
The cluster offers numerous beneficial policies. For instance, the corporate tax rate for eligible industries is reduced from 25 percent to 15, while people from Hong Kong and Macao working in Nansha are exempt from personal income tax on amounts exceeding their home territories' tax burdens.
To nurture new projects, the Qingsheng Hub Cluster offers a 2-billion-yuan ($286 million) technological innovation fund and a 1-billion-yuan technology transfer fund, offering financial support for startups.
The cluster has quickly become fertile ground for innovation, hosting AI headquarters like Mogulinker, new energy research clusters led by GAC Energy, and health industry clusters represented by LonZa and Sino Biotech.
As the sole gateway to Hong Kong and Macao in the GBA, the Qingsheng Hub Cluster's robust transportation network not only links the region but also fosters global integration, resource sharing and mutual benefits.
Furthermore, the cluster is promoting energy-efficient building technologies like rooftop solar panels, green roofs, vertical greenery, and zero-carbon and low-energy buildings alongside BIM applications for full building lifecycle management. It is actively exploring smart operation platforms and autonomous vehicle deliveries to boost the efficiency of park management.
