Memorandum of Understanding signed between GSF Secretariat, HKAABJU

On May 30, Mr. Xie Wei, Deputy Secretary General of Guangzhou Municipal Government, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Nansha Development Zone, Deputy Director General of the Administrative Committee of Nansha Development Zone, met with Li Ran, president of the Hong Kong Alumni Association of Beijing Universities (HKAABJU), to proactively facilitate multi-dimensional cooperation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). 

During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Greater Bay Area Science Forum (GSF) Secretariat and HKAABJU, aiming to boost international sci-tech innovation and to establish a mutually beneficial partnership.

Mr. Xie Wei emphasized the significance of collaboration between GSF and high-profile events such as Hong Kong World Youth Science Congress, highlighting that this partnership will strengthen technological innovation and solidify sci-tech connections across Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Macao, and other major cities in GBA.

Ms. Li expressed enthusiasm for establishing cooperation with GSF in research, industry, and talent development, leveraging the lately found partnership as a catalyst. 

The MOU, signed by Ms. Li Wenli, director of the HKAABJU Secretariat, and Mr. Wang Xiang, director of the GSF Secretariat, marked the beginning of a promising partnership with a solid framework in event organization, sci-tech services, and talent exchange. 

This dialogue represented a significant step in integrating high-end sci-tech resources and in strengthening deeper collaboration within GBA for GSF. The GSF Secretariat will steadily continue its preparation for the upcoming 2025 annual conference and unwaveringly support the construction and operation of the GSF permanent venue. Meanwhile, GSF will keep on making progress in sustainable development and the expansion of the international network to better promote regional growth and sci-tech competitiveness.
