The 15th Guangzhou International Conference on Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine was held in Guangzhou from Dec 5 to 7. As an international academic brand with 14 consecutive sessions, this year's forum was first incorporated into the characteristic system of the 2025 Greater Bay Area Science Forum (GSF). It presented cutting-edge progress in the field through multi-level exchanges and built a high-level cooperation platform for researchers at home and abroad.

The forum established six specialized sessions, including topics on cell totipotency and embryonic development, as well as stem cells and diseases. It adopted an exchange format featuring five keynote presentations, 20 invited talks, and three young researcher reports, providing ample opportunities for scholarly interaction.

The event gathered 17 leading international experts and nearly 50 renowned domestic scholars, attracting over 200 attendees from the research community and industry.

On the first day, Academician Thomas Braun of the German National Academy of Sciences and Professor Zhang Kang from Macau University of Science and Technology delivered keynote addresses. The conference received close to 40 poster submissions, with 33 selected for display and competition, of which 5 were awarded the Best Poster Prize.

This forum, as a significant brand in the stem cell field both within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and internationally, has long been dedicated to fostering international academic networks and promoting interdisciplinary integration. Its integration into the GSF framework will further elevate the brand's influence, infusing fresh momentum into the development of the Greater Bay Area as an international hub for science and technology innovation, as well as advancing the progress of future medical research.
