Digital Life, Health Sub-forum of GSF held
The Digital Life and Health Sub-Forum of the 2025 Greater Bay Area Science Forum was held on Dec 6 at Guangzhou International Bio Island, bringing together academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, leaders from central and local ministries and commissions, and industry representatives, who conducted in-depth dialogues on cutting-edge topics including digital life analysis, biomanufacturing innovation, and the application of health big data.
As a national strategic scientific and technological force, Bioland has consistently focused on the frontiers of science and technology and national needs.
Guests, including CAS Academician Xu Tao, Party Leadership Group Member Wu Shiwen of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and Party Leadership Group Member Qiu Yahong of the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission, attended the forum and delivered speeches.
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area National Technology Innovation Center, Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, Soochow University, Guangdong University of Technology, Wanhua Chemical Group, Huawei Cloud, CISRI-NAK Group, and the Institute of Biophysics of CAS signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Bio Island Laboratory, with a book donation ceremony and group photo session also held on site.
Guests shared developments during the keynote session, and during the roundtable discussion hosted by Academician Xu Tao, representatives from government, industry, academia, research, application, and finance held in-depth discussions on topics such as responding to the new global competitive landscape and building a collaborative innovation system.
